Saint Spyridon icon. Print on premium pine board. The technology used in producing the icon helps to stop it warping from temperature and humidity fluctuations. The board is treated with natural stain and covered with beeswax, so the icon smells of resin and wax. Over time, the smell lessens. The front side is covered with a three-component Finnish protective composition (stop resin), it performs the functions of pavoloka and levkas. After sanding the protective layer, a special paint is applied to it, which is susceptible to fading and repels moisture. The unique method of direct printing imitates the writing of an icon on canvas and conveys all the colors and shades of the original icon. In the light, the image is rich and bright. The processing of the icon board and its preparation is carried out by Orthodox craftsmen.
