24 carat gold plated, oxidised sterling silver icon of the Mother of God “Seven Swords” or “Softening of Evil Hearts.” The sufferings of the Mother of God are depicted by seven arrows piercing her heart. Celebrated on August 13. People pray to her for deliverance from cruelty and ask for protection. On the reverse side is a prayer addressed to the Mother of God: “Do not despise those who seek your help, O Virgin, who sing your praises and exalt you forever.”

Gold plating is 5 microns thick- more than double that of most gold plated jewellery.
