The "Mother of God of Zhirovits" refers to the Zhirovits Icon, a famous stone icon from Belarus that is a wonder-working icon. It was miraculously discovered in a pear tree in 1470 and is a significant shrine for both Orthodox and Catholics in Belarus. The original icon is very small, carved in colored stone, measuring just 5.7 x 4.1 cm, though it is often displayed in an elaborate frame.
